Quin’s private pilot’s license has sharpened his multi-tasking ability – a skill supporting his love of flying and his management style. It’s the mental dexterity of flying, he says, that has helped him wear many hats from marketer to client lead to project and team manager.
During his tenure at VAA, Quin has helped start and build client relationships with industry-leading clients. He credits much of his career satisfaction in the grain, fertilizer, feed and flour milling markets to the talent of team members and clients he works with every day. He’s mentored employees, grown business and built VAA’s rail design expertise from one person to a fully staffed team.
The team’s approach considers the entire footprint of a facility to maximize space. With in-depth knowledge of Class I railroads and day-to-day logistics like rail car sequencing, Civil Group designs can anticipate process-specific variables that impact site operations. As a result, the team provides comprehensive solutions to agribusiness and industrial rail projects from 10-car expansions to large multi-train yards and loop tracks.
