Eric Peterson

Associate / Senior Project Manager

“I really enjoy my work. It’s extremely rewarding to help clients develop their projects by engineering facilities with special or challenging requirements. Working on a variety of projects and engineering opportunities keeps things fresh and interesting.”

As a child, Eric was fascinated with pencil drawing and particularly interested in construction and construction drafting. He loved the detail and art of hand-drawn blueprints. After high school, he went to college to learn design / drafting. His work as a designer eventually led into engineering and construction project management, including construction estimating. As a Senior Project Manager at VAA, Eric still enjoys diving into the details of a design and finds it satisfying when a project comes together from initial concept through completion.

Eric values honesty, relationships and truly cares about his work for clients. He’s proud to work for VAA because management values work-life balance and encourages employees to do the same. Eric understands the importance of staying balanced and enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, watching movies together, playing games and going to neighborhood parks. He also enjoys downhill skiing and reading science fiction or history.

Eric leans on his comprehensive experience in drafting, engineering and construction management and background in procurement and estimating to provide doable solutions for VAA’s diverse clients. Working directly with clients, including facility owners and construction contractors, he works diligently to ensure their project vision is captured and engineering accommodates the vision. He lives up to his work philosophy by taking ownership and being accountable for his work while doing the best, most thorough job he can offer.
